Why the arts and technology?
As the multimedia world continues to grow, the future workforce must be fluent in technology while also demonstrating creativity and innovation. Digital Art builds creativity and innovation while also providing students with key 21st Century learning skills they will utilize throughout their future.
Digital Art teaches students to communicate visually. Modes of communication now include photos, graphics, videos, and other multimedia elements. Knowledge of visual design and digital technologies to manipulate multimedia is imperative.
Digital arts based jobs are continually increasing in demand. Students immersed in technology and the arts will be prepared for tomorrow's jobs in web design, graphic design, animation, movie production, 3D digital modeling, architecture, advertising, and much more.
Ar Benton, the highly qualified visual art teachers are continually creating curriculum which follows state and national standards. Our lessons focus on the arts and technology, while integrating academic standards daily. Students are held accountable to grade level writing skills, and are given the opportunity to use listening, speaking, problem solving, and critical thinking skills through all of the visual art production process.
We are artists, thinkers, designers. We are CREATORS.
